22 Dec 07 - I saw this scale model of the Glaser-Dirks DG-1000-18/20 two-seat sailplane in a local model shop and had to have it. It has such graceful lines and will look superb on the slope. The full size has a basic 18m wing, but tip extensions with winglets can be fitted taking it up to 20m. This model is in this latter configuration and therefore approx 1 to 7.6 scale. The winglets are removable for transport and could be replaced with short tips for a change.
